I am a third-year undergraduate researcher at California State University, Northridge working with Dr. Ray Hong. In the Hong lab, I am interested in understanding the neurons involved in the host-finding behavior of the nematode Pristionchus pacificus. This summer I am working in the Nirody Lab through the Leadership Alliance Program. I am working alongside postdoctoral scholar Erin Brandt. My project is focused on studying the stepping patterns of Phidippus jumping spiders and determining when ground reaction forces are strongest. I have a great fondness for the natural world and hope to integrate that passion when I go on to pursue my PhD. Outside of research I enjoy insect observing and collecting. I also have two cats that enjoy exploring the outdoors with me. Academic history
